Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Billingshurst Family Church (BFC)

At BFC, the safety and well-being of everyone in our community is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe environment where all individuals, especially children and vulnerable adults, can worship, learn, and grow in their faith without fear of harm, abuse, or neglect.

We recognize that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we are dedicated to taking appropriate measures to prevent and respond to any concerns or incidents.

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

  • Safe Spaces: We aim to create a safe and welcoming environment for all, ensuring that our services, activities, and ministries are free from harm.
  • Vigilant Protection: We have clear policies and procedures in place to safeguard children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
  • Trained Staff and Volunteers: All church leaders, staff, and volunteers receive regular safeguarding training to ensure they understand their roles in keeping everyone safe.
  • Prompt Action: We take every safeguarding concern seriously and ensure that appropriate action is taken in line with our safeguarding policy.
